A novel two-stage kinetic model for surface DBD simulations in air

Abstract In this work, a novel 0D model for the evaluation of O 3 and NO 2 produced by surface dielectric barrier discharge (SDBD) in closed environment is presented. The composed two coupled sub-models, sub-model an afterglow one. first one, simulating regime consequently including electron impact reactions, aims to calculate production rates set key species (atomic oxygen, excited states molecular oxygen nitrogen). These latter are input sub-model, that simulates regime. We introduce methodology relate above mentioned power SDBD reactor. simulation results validated comparison with experimental data from absorption spectroscopy. measurements carried out as follows. First, turned on until number density reaches steady state. Then, off several minutes. Finally, again observe effects concentration ozone dynamics. entire process done without opening box. system operating all above-listed conditions simulated three different levels power.
